<span”>MUSIC is a European Funded research project under the FP6 Programme with members from across Europe working to develop a comprehensive, open-source software development framework.
A comprehensive, open-source software development framework
As the sole Canadian contributor to the MUSIC consortium, RC4 developed a market-ready trial service for Paris’ transit authority, the RATP. The trial is called the Passenger with Reduced Mobility application (PRM) and is a self-adaptive/ context-aware service for mobile devices. The PRM application helps passengers who face challenges on transit systems use those systems more efficiently through the use of gestures, text-to-speech and speech-to-text. Full-duplex communication between RATP and transit users is also enabled with variable user interfaces. The project demonstrates software that adapts to a highly dynamic environment without requiring excessive user involvement.
