RC4 deployed context-aware technology upon the Microsoft Surface Table

Which resulted with an adaptive social table which found commonalities and made conversational recommendations among individuals at an event.

The Ryerson Social Table was introduced at a Ryerson University event which welcomed guests from various departments and industries. When two guests sat by the table and rested their glasses down, the table would recommend discussion topics to help guide their conversation. The secret to enhancing communication at this event was the placement of unique barcodes at the bottom of each guest’s glass. The system made evident the success of cloud and context-aware technology for enhanced interpersonal communication. Additionally, the Ryerson Social Table prompted further ideas and opportunities for similar RC4 software deployments for adaptive kiosks and media displays.
